I'm a queer woman committed to helping everyone improve their health and get back to enjoying life. Marginalized people can downplay our ability to thrive, because we often get messages about who we’re supposed to be, and how to act. This pressure to conform is something everyone experiences. A message so loud that we dull ourselves to disconnect. That stress contributes to illness, anxiety and can stunt professional growth.

Imagine a day-to-day where each choice you make is from an unwavering sense of YOU. Feel your body, emotions and mental state sync up. Show up on your own terms, instead of reacting to the demands around you. Imagine knowing how to show up for yourself without shame. Of finally releasing judgements about yourself that plague your busy mind. Maybe you struggle to sleep well, have stubborn belly fat or have difficulty reaching fitness goals.

The high-functioning high-achievers. Those who mistake being busy with being liked. It’s for the people pleasers who are fed up with the emotional labor they give to everyone around them. Those who have multiple intersecting identities, who want to reclaim a truer sense of self, of their agency, and their power.

Some of My Principles

  • Your health, your life, and your work do not exist in a vacuum. We are interconnected, interdependent, and that includes the environment and communities we participate in. This means you ARE important! And it’s important for you to give back.

  • “Healthy” is more than lacking disease. It includes our minds, emotions, communities, upbringing and other environmental factors. Building better health means taking a whole-person approach.

  • There are many injustices, inequities, and worse in the world. As a white woman, even if I’m queer, there are privileges I’ve had. I recognize and resist systems of oppression by supporting others on their journey to building health, in all its facets.

  • I offer coaching while often critical of the conventional fitness, wellness and personal development spaces. Both things can be true. There are many offerings and approaches out there, and I won’t chase you down. I’ve spent my career, formal education, and personal experience on developing grassroots strategies that work. It’s my integrity to offer to the best of my skills, knowledge, and resources.

  • I’m not a dietitian, but I am a fitness expert. Movement is part of your well being, but not the only story! I’m a health educator uniting public health with the diet and fitness worlds. Stress and your mental perspective are as relevant to your longevity as exercise is.
